Research Presentations

I have often presented the outcomes of my surgery to national or international meetings, and this page lets you read some of the abstracts. The language is medical, and may not be immediately clear, but I am setting these pages out so that you can understand what I am interested in.

The main interest is obviously children's surgery, but I have looked at quite a variety of things, and I am surprised at the range of subjects!

Here is a link to my most cited paper, on the survival of babies with congenital diaphragmatic hernia.

Here is a paper looking at how to measure intestinal blood flow in babies with gastroschisis.

I would like to publish outcome data on these pages, and the following link is to a survival graph for all the babies whom I have operated on for the condition of oesophageal atresia. I will post more outcome data as I prepare it.

Here is a link comparing the complications my patients have experienced following ileal pouch surgery with other published reports of this operation
