Folder Names for NUMARIT for Windows or DNMR3 for Windows

Both NUMTRUN for Windows in the NUMARIT suite of programs and DNM3RUN for Windows in the DNMR3 suite call their respective calculating programs via DOS .bat programs, so as to ensure correct sequencing of the series of tasks involved.
They also call their respective plotting programs via other DOS .bat programs, so as to provide mechanisms for users easily to customise the software to their own printer resolution.

These .bat programs receive their information on what is to be done by means of space-separated parameters sent by the Windows calling program.  One of these is the name of the folder in which the programs are stored, and, for NUMTRUN.BAT or DNM3RUN.BAT, a second is the name of the data file to be processed, including its folder name, which usually will be the startup folder set in the shortcut to the Windows program.

IF EITHER OF THESE FOLDERS HAS A SPACE ANYWHERE IN ITS FULL NAME, i.e. its name starting with e.g. c:\ , THIS SYSTEM WILL NOT WORK.  Nothing will happen when you click Calculate from File.

Typical examples in which you will run into these problems would be if you put the software into C:\Program Files\bwtsoft
or if your startup folder was C:\Documents and Settings\J.Bloggs\My Documents\nmr

The solution is to use folders, both for the software and for the startup folder, which DO NOT contain spaces (nor any characters which are not alphanumeric).  Thus a good folder name for the software would be C:\software\bwtsoft and
a good name for the startup directory would be C:\work\nmr

I regret any inconvenience these requirements have caused to those who have downloaded this software before seeing this notice.  I would not use folder names containing spaces, and it had not occurred to me that users might do so until very recently.
