Story

On the way they manage to wreak havoc at a general store, kidnap and innocent woman and the hijack a camper van driven by a priest (Keitel) who has lost his faith in god. He is on vacation with his daughter (Lewis) and foster son when the troublesome two spoil the party and demand that they are stowed away in their vehicle as they cross the border into Mexico. They arrive in Mexico at the infamous 'Titty Twister' bar where they have arranged to rendevous with their contact at dawn the next day. This is where things go rather pear shaped and they get a little bit more than they bargained for in the alehouse.

Verdict

This movie is another that was originally written by Tarantino but directed by someone else. George Clooney fresh from ER portrays the ultra cool tattooed Seth Gecko very nicely and Tarantino himself does an excellent job as his slighty insane and perverted brother. The rest of the supporting cast are also good and this makes for a vocally sharp, violent, Tarantino-esque adventure. If you are not aware of the plot as I wasn't upon first viewing the film trundles along in true male orientated fashion with Clooney portraying the cool lead man, Tarantino adding the slightly mad and perverted angle, Lewis being the vunerable teenager and Keitel the weak man who you know will have to call on his inner self to bring out the man in him at some point in the film. This all goes according to plan until they reach the 'Titty Twister' which is full of real ugly looking mexican inhabitants and some stunning dancing girls lead by the beautiful Salma Hayek who shows us a very intriguing way of pouring a whisky. This is were the film genre changes to an unusually unexpected angle. That's all I'm saying apart from when it finished I found myself thinking 'Hmmn that was interesting!'
