National

• NCSML: EPSRC Network on Computational Statistics and Machine Learning
• StoMP: Stochastic dynamical Modelling for Prokaryotic gene regulatory networks. A BBSRC funded research network in mathematical approaches to systems biology.
• RoSBNet: Robust Synthetic Biological Network. A BBSRC funded research network in synthetic biology.

Local

• CISBAN: The Centre for Integrated Systems Biology of Ageing and Nutrition is the main centre for Systems Biology research at Newcastle, and will continue beyond the BBSRC funding period.
• CSBB: The Centre for Synthetic Biology and Bioexploitation
• Bayesian statistics: A research group within the School of Mathematics and Statistics concerned with theoretical and computational aspects of the Bayesian approach to statistical inference.
• Statistical bioinformatics and stochastic systems biology: A School research group for statistical and stochastic aspects of bioinformatics and systems biology.
