I joined the staff in 2002 as an EPSRC Advanced Research
Fellow working in the School of Natural Sciences in the University of Newcastle upon
Tyne. I currently hold a personal chair in the Mathematics, Statistics and Physics.
The research I perform requires the use of a sophisticated
computer program that solve the quantum-mechanical interaction of
atoms (nuclei and electrons) in various situations. The program is
called AIMPRO, and is used
by an extended group
of materials scientists. |
