I received the BSc and MSc degrees, both in electrical engineering from Khaje Nasir (KN) Toosi University of Technology and Tarbiat Modarres University in Tehran, Iran in 2003 and 2005, respectively. In 2008, I received the PhD degree from Cardiff University, UK under supervision of Dr Saeid Sanei and Prof Jonathon Chambers in Biomedical Signal Processing.
From
September
2007
to
September
2009,
I
worked
for
Prof
Chris Miall in the Predictive
Sensory
Motor
Lab, University of Birmingham as a postdoctoral
research fellow. My research
interests in Birmingham included Motor Control and brain
computer
interfacing. I enjoyed collaborating with Dr
Peter
Praamstra in Birmingham.
In
Summer
2009,
I
held
a
visiting
scholar
position
at
Prof
Lee
Miller's Limb
Motor
Control
Lab at Northwestern University in Chicago, USA.
I
was with
Dr
Andrew Jackson's lab at the Institute
of
Neuroscience in
Newcatle between October 2009 and June 2012 and my research focus is
Optimal
Feedback Control for Brain Machine Interface.
As of June 2012, I am with Touch Bionics as a Senior Algorithm Engineer.
I
received
the
Best
Paper (poster) Award in the 3rd BCI Workshop, Graz,
Austria, Sep. 2006 for a paper on "STF decomposition of EEG potentials
for BCI applications." I received the Overseas Research Students Award
from Cardiff University
and the prestigious David Douglas Award from South Wales Institute of
Engineers in 2006. My PhD was supported by a Leverhulme
Trust research grant “hybrid STF factorization-blind source separation
approach for BCI.”
