Our Research

We are a multidisciplinary team of researchers (cell biologists, clinicians, biophysicists and material scientists) who focus on understanding the relationship between biomaterials and their target tissues in order to fabricate the next generation of implants that integrate with the host more appropriately and have enhanced functionality and longevity. The strategy is to couple our findings that investigate biomolecules which regulate bone-forming cells (osteoblasts) and their mesenchymal stem cell precursors with studies that investigate how specific micro/nanotopography can influence cell behaviour.
