Bibliography
A brief bibliography of my published papers in Statistical
Process Control (SPC) is available here   If there is
sufficient interest postscript versions of some of these
manuscripts may be made available.
Control Charts On Spreadsheets; A Tutorial Guide Or A Poor
Mans Persuader
Files containing Lotus(.WK1) WK1   and
SuperCalc(.CAL) CAL
versions of M.A.A. Cox's Control Charts On
Spreadsheets; A Tutorial Guide Or A Poor Mans Persuader
(M.A.A. Cox, Quality Engineering 1 (1989) 19-39).
The Implementation On Spreadsheets Of Control Charts For
Attributes
A series of charts described in M.A.A. Cox's The
Implementation On Spreadsheets Of Control Charts For
Attributes (M.A.A. Cox, Quality Engineering 4
(1992) 343-355). The files are for
np_fixed
WK1   and CAL   ,
p_variab
WK1   and CAL   ,
p_fixed
WK1   and CAL   ,
np_varia
WK1   and CAL   ,
u_fixed
WK1   and CAL   ,
c_fixed
WK1   and CAL   ,
u_variab
WK1   and CAL   .
Where the file names are self explanatory. It should be
noted that the difference between fixed and variable size
samples is reflected only on the raw data, not the
spreadsheet code.
The Implementation On Spreadsheets Of Sampling Curves
Associated With Acceptance/Rectification Plans
A series of charts described in M.A.A. Cox's The
Implementation On Spreadsheets Of Sampling Curves Associated
With Acceptance/Rectification Plans (M.A.A. Cox, Quality
Engineering 5 (1993) 191-212). The files are
qualoutb
WK1   and CAL   ,
qualouth
WK1   and CAL   ,
qualoutp
WK1   and CAL   ,
depending on whether the Binomial, Hypergeometric or Poisson
distribution is used.
The Evaluation on Spreadsheets of the Average Run Length
Associated with X-bar Charts
A series of charts described in M.A.A. Cox's The
Evaluation on Spreadsheets of the Average Run Length
Associated with X-bar Charts (M.A.A. Cox, Quality
Engineering 7 (1995) 445-470). The files are
oc-arl
WK1   and CAL   ,
contours
WK1   and CAL   ,
cont_all
WK1   and CAL   ,
The latter file presents an example of constructing combined
curves for various run lengths.
Implementing the Circle Technique Using Spreadsheets
Files containing Lotus(.WK1) WK1  , Lotus(.WK4)
WK4   and
SuperCalc(.CAL) CAL
charts described in M.A.A. Cox's Implementing the
Circle Technique Using Spreadsheets, (M.A.A. Cox,
Quality Engineering 9 (1996) 65-76).
Towards the implementation of a Universal Control Chart and
Estimation of its Average Run Length Using a Spreadsheet
Files containing Lotus(.WK1) WK1   , Lotus(.WK4)
WK4   and
SuperCalc(.CAL) CAL   the charts
and the Average Run Length (ARL) calculation described in
M.A.A. Cox's Towards the implementation of a Universal
Control Chart and Estimation of it Average Run Length Using
a Spreadsheet,(M.A.A. Cox, Quality Engineering
28 (2001) 353-364).
Beyond The Nomogram: Rapid Selection Of Parameters For A
CUSUM Chart
Files containing Lotus(.WK1) WK1   , Lotus(.WK4)
WK4   ,
SuperCalc(.CAL) CAL
and Excel(.XLS) XLS   the charts and
the calculation are described in M.A.A. Cox's Beyond The
Nomogram: Rapid Selection Of Parameters For A CUSUM Chart
,(M.A.A. Cox, Quality Engineering 16 (2003/4) 1-12).
A Neural Net Modelling the Parameters of a CUSUM Chart
A file containing Excel(.XLS) XLS   the
calculation is described in M.A.A. Cox's A Neural Net
Modelling the Parameters of a CUSUM Chart ,(M.A.A. Cox,
Quality Engineering 17 (2005) 198-206).
All Lotus code was obtained as an automatic literal
translation of the SuperCalc code.
I would appreciate any comments, suggestions for
improvements, etc. Send to the author Mike Cox.
