Special Session: Biological Computation and Learning in Intelligent Systems
UW-Madison Math Department will be hosting the 2002 Fall Central Section Meeting of the American Mathematical Society on October 12-13, 2002. There is a special session organized by Amir Assadi, Shun-ichi Amari and Tommy Poggio on Biological Computation and Learning in Intelligent Systems. This session features invited talks and a poster session covering a broad interface between mathematics, neuroscience and computational biology. The poster session is preceded by short oral presentations open to all participants. The participants interested in presenting a poster are encouraged to send their title and abstract (maximum 300 words abstract text) Amir Assadi assadi@math.wisc.edu

All talks and poster presentations will be held in Van Vleck Hall. There will be a reception at the Memorial Union, starting at 6PM on Saturday, October 12 for participants. More information will appear in:
