The CIVITAS Foundation is a Romanian non-profit, non-governmental organization, that works in the fields of local governmental education  and training, NGO development, local civil society development, and in other related domains. It was established in 1992, and it has two  offices, one in Kolozsvar / Cluj and another in Szekelyudvarhely / Odorheiu Secuiesc. I have been the founding director of this foundation and I led it until September 1998.
 

The Babes-Bolyai University is one of the main Romanian universities. It is located in Kolozsvar / Cluj, in the center of Transylvania. It has many faculties, covering all of the main scientific areas of natural and humanistic sciences. I did my studies at this university.

 

The Petru Maior University is a relatively new technical university. It is located in Marosvasarhely / Targu Mures, an important Transylvanian city. I taught part-time at this university, while I was doing my PhD.
 

The University of Maastricht is the newest main Dutch university. It is located in the southern corner of the Netherlands, in Maastricht, very close to Belgium and Germany. I worked at this university before I moved to the UK.
