How are different sensory cues processed and combined for cognition? My research interests are focused around this question. I investigate how observers use the changing sensory input to perceive and recognize faces, objects and natural scenes. More recently, I have begun to investigate how different senses are merged (e.g., sound and vision). I use a combination of psychophysics, computer graphics, computer vision, eye tracking and functional brain imaging. I also investigate recognition performance across species.
