Foundation Trenches

Picture

The house trenches have been dug. At the bottom right hand corner they are 1.4metres deep
because they are close to a sycamore tree.

Here they are pegged out, the top of the pegs is to be the top of the concrete foundation.
They are measuring how much concrete they will need, it is 15 cubic metres three lorry loads,
starting at 11:30 Friday 21st October.
Oh! that is my shadow of me taking the photograph from the top of the spoil heap.

These are the garage foundations. Building regulations inspector, Brian Moore came at 11:45 and gave the OK.

I could not resist putting this one in.
It is not really to do with the new house except that Amy Contance Broughton, my daughter,
came round today and Cory Broughton, my grandson,
was quite taken with the digger and operations in general.
We also collected conkers it being that time of the year, and I allowed Cory to play with one of my toys.
This is here for Margie my partner who is on safari in South Africa.
