After the 8th of November were weeks of alternating rain and freezing weather.
Fortunately the builder had other work to do, today 12th December he returned
with a digger to finish the ground works.
The area around the foundations has to be levelled ready for a layer of hardcore,
and the area inside the garage foundations built up for the laying of the concrete floor,
and the area inside the house foundations levelled for the laying of a water-proof membrain.
In addition to the ground works above, 240 metres of Ground Water Heat Source
pipework is to be buried 1.5 metres down in the garden.
By 3:30 pm they started digging the trench, here you can see the ends of two black tubes
that were layed underneath the new sewer for just this occasion.
(It gets dark early at this time of the year, this is about 4pm, the camera decided flash was needed.)
The other thing we did today was to sign and return the windows and door schedule
this meant that CAD system can produce the log drawings.
