Nothing Much to See

Nothing much happened at the beginning of this week.
Tony was on holiday until Thursday. John turned up on Monday and in the drizzle
looked at sorting out the house logs, but in the drizzle gave up and left. Levelling

On Tuesday John came again and in the drizzle, with me helping,
checked the levels with a lazer leveller and found the brickwork to be within a couple of millimeters
except at the centre North where it was 5mm too high. I think we can work with that.

Scaffolding

On Thursday John turned up at 8 in the drizzle, Tony at 9 in the drizzle, but in the West
was blue sky and approaching.
When we left at about 11.20 they were nailing soffit boards up.

(We went to see the film "Constant Gardener" at the Tyneside Cinema, what a nice place,
get there early and have something in the Art Nouveau cafe on the top floor before the show.
A different experience to all your other cimema complexes.
It is the only cinema I will go to because all others have the sound volume too loud.
Oh, and go see, "Constant Gardener" a great film. I need say no more.)

We were off looking at Art Galleries, well when you are retired ...

On thursday and a closer look we could see what soffit boards were up, not many
but also see that the scaffolding was touching the facia! That is no good.
Phoned Stephen at Redhead Roofing, he'll get them back tomorrow.
The tiles have to overhang the woodwork.

These things are sent to try us. Had I been there I might have ...
