Monday 20th February 2006.

Despite rain overnight the day dawned fine and they began laying logs.
The first two layers was slow because they they had to adjust them on the brick plinth.

They also had to unpack the package because the logs were not packed first on top.
They were packed to make a neat rectangular solid package.

Despite the odd wintery shower which forced them to retreat into the greenhouse,
they were on a roll and worked beyond their normal finishing time.
By the time they finished the highest logs were 7, and lowest 3,
so on average 5 logs. The full height of the logs is 24, but progress will not be so fast
because as it gets higher they need to use scaffolding to get the logs up.
