It had to happen, snow falling first thing in the morning. But to the Finns it is nothing,
they are out at first light.

They start fixing the uprights along the sides of the house. Five nails at the bottom fired by a nail gun.

The floor joists are positioned to millimeter accuracy horizontally and vertically.

While they were doing that I was removing the labels on the end of each log. The labels are
self adhesive and they are additionally fixed by 4 - 6 staples. You can see where the labels were, they are not removed too soon. I would love to get the person who inserted so many staples
have to remove them. Two staples would be more than enough.

The uprights were fixed to millimeter precision using a long plumb line, bending them straight if need be.

By 4pm they had started on the internal uprights, but the temperature was plummeting.
