John came back today, first time for over a week, his car needed fixing.
I must take a photograph of it!

Kimmo and Matti cracked on with the roof insulation. Kimmo measures what is needed,
Matti cuts it and Kimmo puts it into place. 100mm above the ceiling joists, 50mm plus 100mm between.
Not a pleasant job at all for Kimmo working the mineral wool fibre in above his head.
Hence the safety goggles and face mask.

Meanwhile Tony and John are boarding out between the ground floor joists ready to take the underfloor insulation.
Me, apart from supplying hot drinks every 2 hours, and a meal at 1pm is trying to sweep under the ground floor joists.
Tony and John seem quite happy to board out of sight, out of mind, almost anything under the floor.
I know it will never be seen again but I removed three dustbin loads of sawdust, bits of insulation,
and small offcuts before they covered it all up.
It was such hard work I was down to my shirt sleeves

Here is Kimmo taping the 2nd third of the vapour check membrane to the first. It is almost 4pm.
They have opened up all the window ventilation ports and tilted all the upstairs windows
in order to get a through draught to cool and clear things down.
After another hot drink they keep going till 6:30pm when the roof insulation is in and sealed.
They did not want to return to it tomorrow. What will they start tomorrow?
Just Tuesday and Wednesday to go. We are counting down to when we can resume a normal life,
but also how much will they do in those two days? If they do nothing, they will have done enough.
