First thing look out of window, 08:25, they are busy having collected missing half tiles.
It was pouring rain, they just put their hoods up and ploughed on.
By midday the job was done, Roof On.
The afternoon was bright, sunny and warm. I hope they enjoyed it.
I spent a couple of hours clearing up the mess they left, picking up dozens of nails
wheel barrow loads of broken tile, and masses of cardboard that Velux windows came in.
Now begins another phase, work inside, the outside is done.
(Well I will try and get the guttering on tomorrow,
then there is trying to get John Young to come down from Alnwick to rebuild the wall and make an entrance,
