Not updated blog for a couple of days, yet again.

The scaffolding is down. Came down yesterday. So now can see house!

This is how it now looks from the road. It is awfully big compared to the miner's terraced dwellings.
Not as big as Brookside itself, but more up front in the lane.

Inside John and Tony are erecting timber frame for the walls.
On the left is a bedroom, in the middle the bathroom, and on the right the store room.

Meanwhile Margie and I are installing the vapour-check membrane.
This is sheets of plastic overlapped and stuck to adjacent sheets with double sided sticky tape
then the seam sealed with silver coloured duct tape, so that the insulation outside
is hermetically sealed from the inside of the house. This prevents warm/humid air from inside
to enter the insulation, and as it reaches the cold outside for the water vapour to condense to wet the insulation,
and so cause it to conduct heat from the house.

Tony and John these last two days have been erecting the timber frames of the internal walls.
Here is Margie in the kitchen, I am in the living/dining room.

This is Margie's photograph of me in the wetroom from the kitchen.
To the left of me is the utility room.

I have now moved to the next room which is a downstair bedroom/music/meeting room/study whatever.
Not shown is upstairs where John and Tony have erected all the timber frames for the rooms up there.
Photographing it produces a forest of timber that is difficult to fathom. So I have not shown any.
