After Easter Weekend

John and Tony were not here over the long Easter Weekend (Fri, Sat, Sun Mon)
and we had quite a few visitors.

Here are some of them. Starting from top-left is Raphy & Laura, Leanne & Emily, Jill & Darren, and Marge,
and I am taking the photograph. Raphy lived here in the 1980s

None the less, Margie and I finished installing 150mm of insulation in the outside walls
and sealing it from the inside by a vapour check barrier, (plastic sheet to thee and me).
This is Margie cutting out the last piece. Double sided sticky tape is stuck to where it is to go
then it is stuck and stapled into place and gaffer tape stuck over the outside join.
Margie is a bit sad about doing this because we have so enjoyed taking part in building the building.

Northumbrian Water sub-contractors came and tarmacked the water meter into place.

Tony and John finished the wood framing of the internal walls, this is downstairs.

This is upstairs.

It is just a forest of wood.

John and Tony started to box out the Velux windows.
This is all working towards making the building ready for the plumber and electrician to do their first fix.
When they install the wires and pipework through the walls/floors but don't connect to anything.
After that we fix the plasterboard/wood cladding to the timber framework,
then they do their second fix and install switches/sockets/toilets/bath/basins/showers/fused spurs/ etc...
