Not much went on over the weekend. We had grandchildren staying and they take up all available time.

It is about to become the most wonderful time of the year, IMHO.
Here is a Hawthorn bush in the plantation I walk in every morning when I take the dog for a walk.
It is dressed in fresh green leaves. Below the nettles are pushing up through last years dead growth,
and above, (you cannot see it in the photograph), the buds are opening on the trees.
In a week or two this scene will be a mass of different greens, all fresh, unspoilt, like a new baby.

Today I put up three downpipes, if that makes sense. One on the garage, two on the house.
(I learn so much from doing these things that I think I should build another house, I'd do it so much better.)
The last of the three is that silver coloured thing on the right edge of the house.
It is galvanised mild steel, more durable than plastic, and can be recycled.

But there was one problem. I placed the BITG (Back Inlet
Trap Gully) in the wrong place!
It was to the left of where it is now. I had to get an angle piece and more pipe to move the gulley over.

Meanwhile Tony and John had plodded away at installing the expanded polystyrene sheeting.
Here it is up,
and they have started to install the 25mm battens on the external wall,
ready for the electricians.
