Hectic or what

A few months ago we wondered when things would begin to happen.
Today we would have been pleased if a little less had happened.

John and Tony arrived as usual, John first Tony later, and about the same time the team started
to provide an electricity supply. It has to cross the road.

The cable we want is the thicker one at the bottom of the trench below the thin cable which is street lighting.

Soon after, Bob and Craig turned up to wire up the house. Then I managed to get some breakfast,
which is just as well because I get quite irritable without food. Soon after two plasterers arrived
to suss the job for a quotation. So I dealt with them whilst Margie Bob and Craig sorted out
where sockets, lights, and switches went. I was well out of it.
Here we are taking a tea break, on a glorious sunny spring day.

By midday on the road outside the electricity cable duct is buried and the surface repaired.

They really did block the road.

This is the trench. I photograph everything that is to be buried, for record purposes.

Bob and Craig got the upstairs ring main in. That is the grey wires going through the
holes drilled in the timber wall framework.

Tony and John had not been idle. They installed noggins between the timber uprights
to strengthen them, and the horizontal battening for the timber wall cladding.
The rooms really are taking shape. They also finished the soffit on the East side.
