On Tuesday 13th June three plasterers start fixing plasterboards upstairs,
on Wednesday 14th six plasterers completed fixing boards upstairs .

On Thursday six plasterers, (well I understand it is 4 plasterers and 2 labourers)
started erecting boards downstairs. First the ceiling boards, like here.
The wires for the lights and smoke alarm have to be fed through holes,
then whilst holding the board up with one hand, also holding a nail,
the other hand also holding a hammer pushes the board in to place,
and two nails are hammered in, when all can relax and hammer in over 30 more nails.

Mid-morning Margie's soil arrives. A back-lane project in Heaton to have planters
had ordered too much soil, and it needed to find a home, so Margie said "I want it!",
and just for the cost of transport she got it. Each bag weighs 3/4ton and to buy is £70.
Margie has got about 5 tons here. The easy bit is unloading, Malcolm shows how easy.
However, from here to around the garden will not be so easy.

They are very busy downstairs, this is the other room now boarded out.

This a view from the bathroom, to the landing, and doors to other bedrooms.
The house is now taking shape inside.

This is probably the main bedroom in the South/West corner. It is so light.

They have boarded the stairwell, but no stairs as yet, they come later.

This is the Living/Dining room, with the Kitchen open plan on the left, wood burning stove,
and door to hallway on the right.

The hallway is a mess, but under control.
Now is a significant step in the construction of the building.
Like the sewer diversion, the brick footings, the logs going up, the roof tiles on,
we can walk into and out of the rooms of the house.
I do like the large living/dining room with Kitchen open plan.
When one is cooking one does not want to be isolated from the rest of the household,
or them from you
I am thinking what comes after the plasterers,
we need the chippys to install the wood cladding below the dado rail
so that the electricians can do a second fix of sockets and switches, ceiling lights,
and, ...
then we need to lay the underfloor heating pipes on the insulation and surround with Litag,
then the floor can be laid, and the plumber do his second fix, installing bath/basins etc.
whilst the chippys fit the internal doors.
Following that is the gound water heat pump, hot water tank, underfoor heating,
Then we can move in
Had a phone call from BT, there is a problem getting a telephone line to us. :-(
