Chippies Gone!.

Last update was the 5th September, 11 days ago.
Although nothing dramatic has happened, I'd better update the blog.
John & Tony, the chippies, did the door trims upstairs on the 6th, and started on the skirting.

On the 7th they finished the skirting, and started on the picture rail, Tony did not approve,
Finnish houses do not have picture rails, but both I and Margie have always had picture rails.

At 1:30pm on Friday 8th September Tony & John finished 7 months of craftsmanship for us.
That is worth updating the blog for.

The sparks returned on the 11th September to begin their second fix.
Satin finished steel with black inserts.

On Thursday 14th the bath and wetroom fittings were delivered from Crosslings.

We had right fun and games on Wednesday 6th September purchasing them.
We went off to Crossling's bathroom showroom, we had looked at a couple of others before,
where you can see designer ware for telephone number figures.
When I sit for a crap do I care who designed the pan. It just has to work properly, flush and not leak.
Well Marge and I walked around the showroom looking for a plain bath, washbasin, toilet, shower.

The sales people showed us top of range and bottom, but it was all fancy stuff.
Effectively, Margie stamped her foot and said where is the plain stuff?
Ah!, they said, try the Trade Counter.

We did, and there we found what we wanted. It was a tenth of the price, and they were so helpful.
It was delivered Thursday 14th September.

In the meantime, we have been busy, ever so lightly sanding, vacuuming, and wood treating.
In a wooden house there is a lot to treat.

On the 16th I have been building the framework for the worktop and support of the Belfast sink in the Utility Room.
We need somewhere to clean our boots and motorcycle parts. Here it is assembled, glued, and clamped.

On Monday 18th September, Mick the plumber, returns and the kitchen is delivered,
and maybe electricians too. Maybe a busy day.
