Today we got a kitchen, Well sort of - minus two cupboard doors.
But before that, what about the leak?

It was a none event really. The next morning Mick came round at 8am, I got up too at that time:-(
We cut through the double plaster ceiling and Mick felt the water on the pipe.
We did not even have to refill the system to find the leak.
Even better, it was not the underfloor heating pipework, that would have meant pulling up floorboards,
and would have meant it was Tony/John's fault. It was Mick's bad luck the solder didn't run.

Other things going on is the garden. Here I have dug holes for a beach hedge.
You can see the lumps of clay/earth behind each hole. Margie is teasing out the pot-bound roots
prior to planting the beach hedge saplings. The hens have been allowed out, they do so enjoy the garden.

This is a night photo of Brookside Cottage where we are living. It is a bit of a Tardis, not much to see outside,
but rooms and space inside. It is FOR SALE, offers over £150,000.

Another thing that happened today was,
Bob the electrician turned up to wire-up the
underfloor heating system.

By the end of the day this was the state of the wiring at the upstairs manifold.
It is done, but what a struggle. There are severn loops of underfloor heating upstairs.
We do not think we need any underfloor heating upstairs, we have our bedroom windows open,
but CHELMER HEATING SERVICES LTD insist we do to comply with regulations,
and when someone wants to sell the house it will have to comply.
So here it is, I call it CHELMER'S MESS. The junction box they sent was inadequate.

A better outcome, but not perfect, was the kitchen. The Corian top man (Richard) came today to fit the tops.
This is one of them. Very nice. We are still missing two cupboard doors with CLEAR glass.
We have had SEVERN cupboard doors delivered with obscured glass!
John Lewis wake up! These stupid blunders we all have to pay for.
