Before that, here is Margie using Skype to talk and see her niece Nikki in America
and Matthew and Amelia, Nikki's children.
(It is a bit blurred because it was taken handheld without flash, but you can see how delighted she is.
There was a difficulty, the facial expressions and the speach did not synch,
I am not sure whether that was our 2Mbit link or the congestion on the Internet.)

I have tried and tried to get someone to make us a wetroom, to no avail. So I am doing it myself.
Here is how I am doing it, just in case you want to do the same thing.
Starting out with the floor joists, kingspan insulation, and underfloor heating pipes
I positioned a Wedi Fundo Shower Base, 120 x 120 Corner Drain over the drain.
Then laid 12mm bits of wood on the floor joists because the floor boards were 28mm and the shower base was 40mm,
and further put 50mm square bits of damp proof felt at the right hand end of the 12mm bits of wood,
and two layers of damp proof felt on the floor joist nearest the door.
This is all to make the water flow to the drain.

Then poured Lytag between the floor joists up to floor level to help the heat from the pipes to the floorboards.

Then the floorboards were laid. On the right and left you can see offcuts used from John and Tony's work.

Then we went and got the floor tiles. They are natural stone so have to be sealed.
This is me sealing them whilst Margie and Unix look on.

Next step for the wetroom is to fix a plastic layer over the floor and 100mm up each wall. To be continued.

This is the Ground Water Heat Pump working,
we have got warm water in the hot taps, not hot water.
The house is really warm, over 20 degree C, too warm for us really.
The problem with the under floor heating system was a fault in the wiring diagram,
the second fault in the documentation from Chelmer.
