This is another one of those behind-the-scene places that you do not normally see.
It is where the electricity came into the Claremont Tower.
There were two transformers, one for the Tower, the other for the computers.
The five right columns of switches are tower power, the left two are computer power,
the one inbetween is common to both.
The three switches for computer power were:
one for each end of the computer room, which could accommodate two mainframe computers,
(a new mainframe running in parallel with the one it was to replace)
and the third, bottom, a new switch for a rotary convertor.
