This is the Metro Bridge over the Ouseburn dene, it was opened in 1982.
It is a magnificent structure of reinforced concrete bounding over the dene.
Just beyond it is the North East Coast Railway viaduct.
On top on the right are two railtracks that sweep off over the bridge to the right
to Byker Metro station 800 metres away towards the blue bits of the Byker Wall.
The bridge is 2674ft long and 27ft wide.
