Deputy Director of the Institute of Integrated Information Systems (I3S):                                                 

Responsibilities include  all  matters of  the I3S

The I3S at present comprises some 52 researchers, 13 of whom are academic members of staff, working in the general areas of communications systems, signal processing algorithms and techniques, encryption, image processing, satellite navigation and tomography.

 

Member of the School Research Committee:

Responsibilities include all research matters of the School of Electronic and Electrical Engineering      

 

Theme Team Chair of Communications:

This is a post usually held by a senior member of staff.

Responsibilities include: Chairing the meetings of the Theme Team in Communications (11 members); Overseeing the co-ordination and teaching of communications; Reviewing all the modules in communications and signal processing (10 modules).

 

Course Deputy Director for MSc (Eng):

(in  Modern Digital and Radio Frequency Wireless Communications)

 

Member of the Programme and Quality Review Committee  (PQRC):

Responsibilities include: All undergraduate and taught postgraduate learning and teaching, matters.

(C) Teesside University

 

Head of Communications and Signal Processing Subject Group:

Responsibilities include: Designing new modules and courses; Overseeing and co-ordinating the teaching of communications and related subjects across all degrees; Defining the strategies and future needs in these areas; Giving help and advice to junior staff in teaching communications and signal processing.

 

Course Leader: BEng Telecommunications/ Digital Broadcast Engineering:

I was behind the introduction of this course which was attracting many students.
