Zone is an MS-DOS program zoning (constrained clustering) of stratigraphic, or otherwise ordered data. Zone implements the following methods: CONSLINK - constrained single link clustering, CONISS - constrained incremental sum of squares clustering, SPLITLSQ and SPLITINF - binary division using sum of squares and information statistic criteria, OPTIMAL PARTITIONING using sum of squares criterion, and BARRIER - variable barriers approach. Details of these methods are given in the manual.
