STRUCTURAL ENGINEERING STAFF
The Structural Engineering group within the Civil Engineering department has been merged with the Geotechnical Engineering group. This page will deal with members of staff who are experts in various aspects of structural engineering, the head of the combined group and the combined group secretary.
I hope links to the followings sites will be of interest and useful in contacting the appropriate people.
The most important person within the group is Bill Cragie, the technician in the Structural engineering laboratories, but because you are already on my web page, a link will not be needed.
A most important person within the group is Christine-Earle-Storey, the group secretary, who can be contacted at c.m.earle-storey@ncl.ac.uk
In Charge of the academic staff within the group is Professor Colin Jones better known as sir, who is an expert in all matters. His background, research activities and e.mail Address can be found at the link above.
The maths side of things is handled by "PDG" better known as Dr.Gosling. If computer modelling is your interest (perhaps hobby) this is the chap for you.
We have a Dr.Lilley who has interests including vibration and fishing, you could mail him if you have any questions about vibration, live bait, sea conditions etc.
We have an Australian academic Dr.Wilkinson. His interests include earthquakes and climbing ice cliffs (hhmm! does he know something).
