TRAINING

Completion of a recognized four year engineering apprenticeship. This was a multi-skill apprenticeship gaining knowledge, skill and qualification in power production, electrical and electronic systems and machine shop skills including welding, turning, milling and grinding.

Whilst employed by the University of Newcastle upon Tyne I have received in house training in health and safety legislation specialising in Manual Handling Techniques, writing reports with recommendations for both the health and safety officer and the head of the civil engineering department.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

My hobbies include computer repairs and upgrades, electronics and a limited amount of programming which have allowed the structural engineering laboratories within the University of Newcastle-upon-Tyne to have a self sufficiency in most aspects of I.T.
