ISS Web Publishing
This page (the file iss_example.html) is created by default when your web publishing account is set up. Now that you can read this, your account is ready for use. You can use this page as a starting point for developing your own site, or you can upload something completely new. We recommend you keep a copy of this page for your reference.
The useful resources section points you to some information which you may find helpful when developing your site. This is a small subset of the resources which are available - you can find further resources by using the University Search Engine, or by using Google.
For beginners, you might like to start by viewing the source code of this page (commonly via the View -> Source menu option in your browser). That should show you how a basic HTML page is set up, along with a little bit of CSS to make it look nice.
We aim to provide as much information as possible via the pages at http://www.ncl.ac.uk/iss/web/, if you can't find what you're looking for, then you can search the ISS site. If you're still struggling, you can email firstname.lastname@example.org and we'll try our best to help.
This page is currently appearing as your default homepage. When you upload a file named index.html, this will become your default in it's place.
