Our research focuses on\u00a0redox processes at the mineral-water interface and how these processes impact water quality.\u00a0Our work spans the\u00a0broad range from understanding fundamental mechanisms of electron transfer to application of redox processes for contaminant transformation or removal, both in natural and engineered environments.\u00a0To facilitate our\u00a0research,\u00a0we\u00a0apply a variety of\u00a0techniques to analyze organic compounds and inorganic species in aqueous phase, to characterize mineral phases, and model contaminant removal kinetics.
