DNMR3 now runs in Windows 7 or Windows XP as the default, but may be modified
to run in Windows 95
N3plot already worked in 64-bit Windows 7, as did the Windows shell of
Dnm3run. However, calculations using Dnm3run failed because the program
it called was a 16-bit DOS application, which is no longer supported by
Windows. Now, in Version 2, an additional version of this program,
DNMR3, been compiled in MinGW Fortran and set to be the default version,
so that the whole package runs in Windows 7 or in Windows XP

The package as supplied no longer runs in Windows 95, but may be modified
to use the previous, 16-bit DOS version of DNMR3, so that it will run in
the earlier versions of Windows, back to Windows 95, as well as in Windows
XP, though not then in 64-bit Windows 7

The MinGW version of DNMR3 has slightly different rounding errors, compared
with the previous version, but these are well below the range of significance

Users of Windows XP or previous who want to reproduce exactly the previous
results, including their insignificant errors, may tailor the package by
substituting the previous version of DNMR3 to do the calculations

To upgrade, users who already have Version 1 are advised to replace all
the provided .exe and .bat files with those now provided in Version 2,
because it has been necessary to make a file name change, which could prevent
Dnm3run from working if a mixture of old and new versions is used
