This is the web site of Darren Wilkinson. I am Professor of Stochastic Modelling in the School of Mathematics, Statistics and Physics at Newcastle University, co-Director of our Centre for Doctoral Training in Cloud Computing for Big Data, and theme lead for Streaming data modelling within Newcastle Data. I'm also a Turing Fellow of the Alan Turing Institute, the UK's national institute for research in data science and artificial intelligence, and strategic theme lead for molecular medicine within the Turing's Health programme. As part of that role, I'm currently participating in the DECOVID project.
You can navigate to different sections of this site using the buttons above. You can always return to this page by clicking on the button marked HOME.
The research section contains information on my research interests and research projects that I am involved with, together with my publications list and a list of invited talks I've given recently (slides, audio and video are available for some of these). The section on teaching has a link to some lecture notes I've written. There is a section devoted to the free software that I have developed over the years, most of which is closely related to my research interests. My contact details are available from the section on personal information, along with a brief biography, and a list of my professional duties. There is also a section of the site devoted to my textbook, Stochastic Modelling for Systems Biology.
I have a number of other websites, profiles and social media accounts - these are all linked from my umbrella web site: darrenjw.github.io
