Climbing and Mountaineering

This is my passion outside work...

I started climbing in 1997 and quickly progressed to both mountaineering and ice-climbing. I won 4th place in the National University Climbing Competitions, March 1999 and 2000, 3rd place in the North-West Regional Competition, January 2000 and 17th place in the Australian 2001 Nationals in Sydney. I have been on rock-climbing and mountaineering expeditions all over the world, especially during my time travelling in 2001.

I rocked up to Mt Araps on my own with a couple of ropes and a rack in September 2001 (arriving on September the 11th in fact...). Very cool place. There were 7 of us climbing - with over 2000 routes to choose from.....
