This TMD can achieve up to 49.9% reduction in peak acceleration. It addresses a critical gap in sustainable construction: vibration-induced discomfort and serviceability limits in modern long-span timber floors. The findings have direct industrial relevance, especially for the design and retrofitting of multi-storey timber buildings. This solution is compact, passive, and easily tunable, making it ideal for integration into real-world construction projects. It offers a scalable and cost-effective method for improving occupant comfort and extending floor lifespan, helping the timber construction industry meet both serviceability standards and sustainability goals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
If you are interested in this research or would like to explore potential collaborations, please feel free to get in touch.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Yang, H.; Lu, X.; Sun, H.; Pan, Y.; Shi, B.; Li, Y.; Huang, H.
