New Tartrate-Derived Bis-Oxazoline Ligands for Enantioselective Cyclopropanation and Aziridination of Alkenes.

A.M. Harm, J.G. Knight and G. Stemp, Synlett, 1996, 677.

Abstract: Two novel bis-oxazolines have been prepared from a readily available derivative of diethyl L-tartrate. Enantioselective copper catalysed aziridination and cyclopropanation of styrene were carried out using and as chiral ligands to give products in up to 69% e.e.
