If you’re coming to Newcastle University to study Engineering in September or October 2022, welcome! Whether you’re starting in Stage 1 or in Foundation Year, you’ll be doing modules in Maths, Materials Science, Mechanics, etc, but maths is a major ingredient of many modules as you’ll see.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This page is to help you prepare especially if you’ve not studied maths for a couple of years. That’s true of many Foundation Year students who didn’t take A-level maths. Bur for all incoming students, being really confident about basic numeracy and algebra will be really helpful as we introduce new topics.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
For Foundation Year entry, we’ve got several documents you can access even before you’ve arrived or registered (when you’ll get access to our ‘Canvas’ web-pages).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
