The system couples a Huber 4-circle goniometer with a Bruker TXS Mo rotating anode X-ray source and an APEX II CCD detector. Cooling to a base temperature of 1.86 K is achieved through a modified 3 stage APD 202E closed cycle cryocooler.\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/doi.org\/10.1107\/S0021889810041282\">https:\/\/doi.org\/10.1107\/S0021889810041282<\/a><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-thumbnail wp-image-40\" src=\"http:\/\/www.staff.ncl.ac.uk\/michaelprobert\/files\/2018\/04\/20180412_095712-e1523526601606-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"20180412_095712\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.staff.ncl.ac.uk\/michaelprobert\/files\/2018\/04\/20180412_095712-e1523526601606-150x150.jpg 150w, https:\/\/www.staff.ncl.ac.uk\/michaelprobert\/files\/2018\/04\/20180412_095712-e1523526601606-300x300.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.staff.ncl.ac.uk\/michaelprobert\/files\/2018\/04\/20180412_095712-e1523526601606-768x768.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.staff.ncl.ac.uk\/michaelprobert\/files\/2018\/04\/20180412_095712-e1523526601606-1024x1024.jpg 1024w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 150px) 100vw, 150px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>XIPHOS II: another custom built instrument specialising in the measurement of single crystal samples at very high pressures, provided through the use of diamond anvil cells. The system couples a 4 circle Huber goniometer, a Ag microfocus X-ray source and an APEXII CCD detector.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-thumbnail wp-image-38\" src=\"http:\/\/www.staff.ncl.ac.uk\/michaelprobert\/files\/2017\/04\/20180412_095626-e1523525971297-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"20180412_095626\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/><\/p>\n<p>An Oxford Diffraction (now Rigaku Oxford Diffraction) Gemini Ultra with Cu and Mo sealed tube X-ray sources. This system operates with an Oxford Cryosystems Cryostream 700 to maintain temperatures in the 400-90 K range.
