I like going to the zoo. My family live far away from the zoo so we do not go there very often. But whenever we go to the zoo, I always have a fun and interesting time. Some of the animals are very large.
Of course, the elephants are huge and they have such an unusual appearance, with their big ears and long trunks and tusks. Giraffes are very tall with long necks that reach high into the trees. Some of my favourite animals are big cats. The lions look very powerful with their big teeth and paws. The tigers are just as big and strong with yellow and black strips.

The animals from Australia seem very unusual. The kangaroos with their strong legs and long tail can jump great distances across the ground. The baby kangaroo can go inside his mother's pouch. Another Australian animal, the koala bear, crawl slowly in the trees where it eats leaves.
To see all of the animals at the zoo takes almost a whole day. By the end of the day, I am usually tired of walking around, but I am also very happy to see all the amazing animals from places around the world.
