The two figures shown below are typical of the main screen presentations provided by the computer code FIPSI to enable the student to visualise his overall design choices in terms of
(a) fi,psi duty point selection (fi = flow coefficient, psi = work coefficient) for the stage centre line, compared with an experimental correlation of ideal stages.

(c) The consequent annulus shape, stage reaction and Mach No. Levels.
