POST-DOCTORAL POSITION FILLED as part of ERC Consolidator Grant
MECHIDENT Neuronal mechanisms of cognition: multisensory convergence for learning and memory. Exciting new five year program using cutting-edge direct neuronal recordings in primate models with translation of information to humans by way of intracranial recordings in human patients being monitored for surgery (with our University of Iowa neurosurgery collaborators, led by Prof. Matthew Howard III) alongside our award winning work in primate models, including optogenetic control of neuronal responses (in collaboration with Dr. Michael Schmid). Includes collaboration with Profs. Ole Jensen and Simon Hanslmayr at University of Birmingham.
