TRAN is an MS-DOS program for editing and transformation ecological and palaeoecological data. The program will read data in Tranquillini, Polldata, Tilia, or Cornell formats, and check input files for common errors (missing taxa, double entries etc.). Taxa or samples may be deleted, and data transformed to percentages or proportions and saved in Tilia, Cornell Condensed or Gordon formats (see Section 6 of the manual for a description of these file formats). Raw data may be printed in a report format (as a full species by samples table) or viewed spreadsheet-style for checking.

The download contains a zip file with the executable (program file), manual and a test dataset.

Note: this program has been superseded by the data import / export functions in C2. It only remains on my website for historic reasons for conversion of some very old pollen data formats. Please email me if you would like advice if you are not sure if you need this program.
