The leaderboard

Lunch runner Jon has set up a fabulous system for tracking results.  There is a leaderboard at http://www.envelopelearning.com/run/ where you will be able to look at your own participation and progress against yourself and others.  This is meant to be a bit of fun and motivation but if you’d rather not be included, just let me know at thelunchrun@newcastle.ac.uk

It’s your lunch run so feel free to suggest or comment

Just let me know if you want me to adjust any times on the results table.

I’d be happy if you marked my first lap and my total in week 2 in red (since red was used for Lucy K’s dodgy lap in week 1). I’m pretty certain that my lap 1 must be dodgy (I thought I ran lap 1 fast, but surely not THAT fast…?), but that laps 2 and 3 are not. And then 6:14 (which I got for lap 3) would be an honest PB.
Is that reasonable? Otherwise I have a PB I’ll never beat…..

The “leaderboard” as some have called it does not have the red numbers like the results image does. How about I just remove your time for the first lap and have your third lap be your PB? We’re only really competing against ourselves after all. I’ll leave the total time as it is for now unless you think otherwise mainly because adjusting that would mean changing most of the table to suit.

It looks like I did it too….just on my first lap, which is 30 sec faster than the others. (Sasha noticed). And it’s down as a PB too. I’ve never been a very good navigator…

  3. Sasha says:

I think you might not be the only one- I’ll try to make sure everyone does the second croquet lawn next week. perhaps more blue chalk needed!

  4. Lucy Keating says:

Mea culpa: I’ve just checked my Garmin and I realise I accidentally missed out a bit on my first lap. I think I probably cut about 25 seconds off my first lap.
I don’t want to mess up your timing system, but thought I should confess in case anyone reported my suspicious improvement to the IAAF…
Thanks once again for organising, and I will look where I’m going next week!
