BAMC 2024

Last week I attended my first British Applied Mathematics Colloquium, and delivered a talk on our work monitoring the health of the LSCD-affected corneal epithelium post-treatment. I discussed how we are using image analysis to extract morphological data from microscopic images, before performing quantitative analysis on the output to identify metrics indicative of corneal health.

I also assisted with the event running, monitoring rooms during talks. Every hour of my day was filled with brilliant talks, with a strong Math Bio cohort this year. I had an absolute blast welcoming everyone to Newcastle and met so many new people!
