Glycogen synthase structure

The much awaited structures of human muscle glycogen synthase, revealed in full glory at 3-4 A by cryo-EM, provide a structural basis of enzymatic regulation by phosphorylation and glucose-6-phosphate. Check out our paper in Nature Structural & Molecular Biology.

Glycolate oxidase inhibitors

Using crystallography-based fragment screening, we identified chemical starting points for developing inhibitors for human glycolate oxidase (HAO1), as novel treatment for the rare metabolic disorder Primary Hyperoxaluria PH1. Find out more about our hit discovery and characterisation in Frontiers in Chemistry article.

Chaperonin-substrate complex

From one CRISPR-tagged endogenous sample, one tool nanobody, and one cryo-EM dataset, we got to visualise the TRiC chaperonin in its full glory. What else did we uncover? The folding clients tubulin, actin as well as the PhLP2A cochaperone coming along for the ride! See for yourself in our latest article in Nature Structural & Molecular Biology.
