To prevent porosity, 10-layer films were deposited from solutions of [Bi₂W]2 for electrical characterisation.

This film behaved as a linear capacitor, probably because the polarisation is in the plane parallel to the surface. Low breakdown voltages make poling difficult. The remnant polarisation was 0.20 mC/cm²

Further work is in progress to improve the quality and control the orientation of these films.
