trace-retrace
trace-retrace developed in two stages. Firstly, during a guest residency at Kyoto Art Centre in Spring 2006, painting and photography were combined to explore the relation between memory, site and conventions of discontinuous, fragmented time. In the second stage, undertaken as a Northern Print Bursary holder in 2007, these explorations were directed towards print media resulting in a body of 'reproducible collages'.
